Course Description

The CRM Initial Pilots course is designed to develop and support candidates by exploring strategies to optimize the use of all their resources. They will be introduced to basic concepts of CRM principles and objectives, including Threat and Error Management. Candidates will enhance their non-technical skills with a focus on communication, team-work, decision making, situational awareness and problem solving. They will have discussions based on factors that can impact safety within the operation. 

This course meets the regulatory requirements of the UAE GCAA CAR AIR OPS.

A flight crew member’s CRM skills will not be assessed, however feedback will be given during initial CRM training.

Course Overview
This course is structured to provide knowledge of, and familiarity with, human factors relevant to flight operations. The course content will address the nature of the operations of the company concerned, as well as the associated procedures and the culture of the company. This will include areas of operations which produce particular difficulties or involve adverse climatic conditions and any unusual hazards. Group discussion will be held around various case studies and topics such as leadership, company safety culture, SOP’s and human information processing.
